Over the weekend of 11th and 12th June, some of our Welsh field archers travelled to Northern Ireland to take part in the 2016 All British and Open Field Championships.  Hosted by Ballyvally Archers, the shoot in County Antrim saw some Welsh successes and congratulations go to the following archers from Pentref Bowmen:

David  Home - first in the Veteran Gents Compound category

Byron Powell – second in the Veteran Gents Compound category

Ceri Thomas and Philip Bowen who came second and third in the Gents Traditional category and Jeff Williams who came third in the Veteran Gents Barebow category.

The event also featured the UK Junior Field Championships and our junior archers from Pentref Dragons and Blandy Jenkins Hoods were equally successful.

Jakob and Grace Barrett-Rees came second in the Junior Gents U15 Barebow and the Junior Ladies U18 categories and Finlay Barrett-Rees took first place in the Junior Gents U15 recurve and brought home the title of Junior Recurve Open Champion.
